Young@Heart Movie Matinee: Easter Parade

This Wednesday, 11 March 2026, Young@Heart Cafe is swapping show tunes and classic pop for the silver screen and Easter bonnets.

Please note: Our usual Wednesday afternoon Young@Heart Cafe at St John’s is closed this week.

We’re taking our guests to the movies at Luton Central Library on Wednesday to see the perennial springtime musical ‘Easter Parade’ starring the effervescent Judy Garland and the debonair Fred Astaire.

The film includes many familiar tunes from the Great American Song Book by the inestimable Irving Berlin, including ‘Easter Parade’, ‘We’re A Couple of Swells’ and ‘Steppin’ Out With My Baby’.

Refreshments will be available on arrival, and the film runs from 1.45pm to 3.45pm plus interval.

Our Young@Heart volunteers will be in attendance to support everyone.

We are working with the Orange Picture Club Community Cinema Company on this cinematic event. More movie days are planned throughout 2026.
