Picnic In Wardown Park with Young at Heart

Our ‘Picnic in the Park’ events, which usually end our summer season, seem to be gaining in popularity year on year.

Our 2025 Picnic in Wardown Park held on Wednesday 16th July, and attended by 95 guests who had a fine time snacking, quaffing, singing and dancing on a mild summer’s day (thankfully we side-stepped the sweltering temperatures of last week’s heatwave).

Entertainment was provided by The Wilsons, who have been regulars on the Young at Heart circuit for a number of years (including the virtual lockdown cafes - hands up who remembers them?!) and were an excellent and engaging Rock n Roll accompaniment to the slap-up summer picnic.

Here’s plenty of photographic evidence of a truly wonderful end to the Young at Heart summer season.

But fear not Young at Hearters, our doors will re-open on Wednesday 17 September at 2pm.
